Evergreen species native to Brazil up to 1 meter tall and over. This begonia produces very long, rarely branched and bare stems with a tuft of leaves at the apex. Ablong-lanceoalate leaves, up to 14 cm long by 6 cm wide, fragile, bullate and greyish-green in color. Small, white flowers in apical racemes in winter-spring. Over time it accents from the base. Shaded position and regular watering, reduced in winter. Not rustic. In winter, keep in a cool and dry place but not freezing. If the winter humidity is high, the leaves can become stained.
