Herbaceous species that is native to Brazil (Parà). Leaves roundish, about 10 cm in diameter, rough, green with large radial bronze-red bands. Flowers white in long inflorescences exceeding the leaves. Compact, bushy, procumbent habit. Very beautiful and rare in cultivation. Well drained soil and shaded exposure. Regular waterings, allowing the soil to partially dry before rewatering. Not hardy.
