Product details

This species is native to the Mauritius wetlands. It was considered extinct and then rediscovered in 1973. It is an evergreen bulbous with narrow and long leaves, first erect then arched downwards. The inflorescences develop on a robust 50-60 cm long scape bearing numerous pink-white flowers at the apex with narrow and long tepals. Not hardy, it needs a slightly drained soil and a position in full sun or partial shade. The soil have to remain constantly humid during the summer but in winter it must be allowed to dry before watering again.
