Product details

~~Bulbous species from the Canary Islands. Bulb spherical, underground. Leaves sword-like, glossy green in colour. Leaves appear after flowering. Flowers small, very numerous, star-shaped, white with a black ovary. The flowers are arranged along a cylindrical long inflorescence (up to 1.5 m in length). Inflorescences appear after the first rains of summer end or of autumn beginning. This species is in vegetation from autumn to spring. It is summer resting and in such a period the bulb must remain dry. Summer drought resistant but not hardy. Well drained soil. Full sunshine or half shade.
