Product details
New hybrid obtained in our nursery from Echidnopsis ciliata. Stems strong, reaching 50 cm in length by 10 mm in diameter. Stems are slightly tubercled and dark green in colour, rather reddish in winter. Flowers apical, star-shaped, 8 mm in diameter, glabrous, glossy and unusually brick-red in colour. Easy to cultivate, it prefer a well drained soil and a half-shaded exposure, especially ib summer. In winter it can withstand temperatures that are rather low for an Echidnopsis: 4-5°C. As it is highly stoloniferous it is best grown in planters or in wide bowls, but it is suitable for hanging baskets too.
