Evergreen rhizomatous being aromatic in every part of it. Scapes with lanceolate, dark green, rather glossy, ornamental leaves. Unusual inflorescences on separate, short, leafless scapes. Very scented fruits. Soil fertile, moist, drained and rich in humus. Half shade. Giava.
