Epiphytic species from southern Brazil forests characterized by rosettes with funnel-shaped leaves. Thin and flexible leaves 25-55 cm long, not toothed on the margin. Cylindrical inflorescences carried by 40 cm long scapes. Red-purple tube flower bracts from which blue flowers emerge. Cultivate in well-drained soil and place in a shady position. Regular watering in summer, reduced in winter. It fears frost, so store it in a place where the temperature does not drop below 7 ° C during the winter.
